Oct. 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Karen McNab is originally from Nova Scotia, Canada. She has travelled to and lived in various parts of the country from Newfoundland to British Columbia. Karen started studying art under the tutelage of professional artist and instructor Maya Vinokurov who trained in the Ukraine. Karen’s work is classical and realistic in style, reflecting her appreciation of the simple elegance in detail. Karen currently studies, works and resides in Markham, Ontario.

The pieces on display at GALLERY MCNABS.NET http://mcnabs.net range in subject from floral and landscapes to still life compositions. Karen’s love of nature echoes through the entire body of work. Three of the original oil works - August Sunset, White Lily and Still Life With Pumpkin each won a first prize in the Landscape Any Medium, Floral Any Medium, and Any Subject, Any Medium categories respectively at the Markham Fall Fair Art Competition in October 2009.
