Oct. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- His first novel had suicide, arson, heartbreak and more. But D.L. Shiloh insists that his next novel - a book with 9-11 at its soul - is more upbeat.

The books face subjects like European works, but have a definite American slant. His first novel, a satire named "Pookoo", had mascots, athletes, alcohol and sex addiction, and a famous man that carelessly uses women.

D.L. Shiloh found a solution in dealing with things with his quirky brand of fiction.

"The new work is really about grief, which I discovered a month or so ago," Shiloh said. "You live 40-odd years, you have something to grieve about. You know sorrow. It can really beat you down with health issues or learn to work through it. This is one way to deal with it all."

Shiloh is put off how recent headlines, with that one famed TV host, shrugs at how women are used.

"Men with power continue to do this and this time around, it's really casual," Shiloh said. "Katlin Hillmacher was like that, and it was forewarned in "Pookoo.""
