Well, there are two good reasons why our insurance rates are
sky high:

1) Collision costs have spiraled upward at an alarming rate.
A simple 5 mile per hour bender can easily run into the thousands.
A 25 mile per hour crash can triple in cost.

2) Liability rates are also up due to the avalanche of lawsuits. A minor
fender bender can create a nasty whiplash claim and the worse part is
that the insurance companies tend to settle these because they are afraid
to go before a jury.
