Oct. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- A new version of Bracket Man Pro for the iPhone and iPod touch has just been approved for sale in the iTunes App Store. The new version of software, while is primarily a maintenance release, it has some interesting features. One of those features is supporting double elimination brackets. Bracket Man Pro has two different modes; a quick bracket and a custom bracket. Quick brackets are no frills, with numbers 1 - 8 representing each position or "seed" in the bracket. These are single elimination, down and dirty brackets. Those 8 participants can be shuffled to change the position each plays in quickly. This is useful for those who wish to create a paper bracket and need to shuffle participants, such as those who manage brackets in bowling leagues or perhaps even pool or dart leagues.
Custom brackets allow you to enter names for participants or teams, as well as double elimination. A custom bracket can also be shuffled once created. Losers are automatically promoted to the losers bracket, and winners promote to the next round.
