With the integration of a 5.0 mega pixel camera the handset offers excellent photo taking capabilities. As a means of ensuring success in image capture, the inclusion of Carl Zeiss optics is a major factor. Those who know photography will no doubt recognise the name. Tools included to aid, also include auto focus and a dual LED flash, which ensures illumination. The popular function known as geo tagging is also available, whilst photos can be edited by virtue of the included photo editing software. VGA quality video recording and playback is provided as an alternative to still imagery, whilst a secondary camera is included.

The phones vibrant and expressive 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen is one of this phones most endearing features. The ability to withstand scratches is important and this screen comes with a scratch resistant glass surface. Faithful colour reproduction is obtained by the screens ability to display 16 millions colours at a pixel size of 360 x 640 pixels. The inclusion of an accelerometer and proximity sensor are welcome additions, whilst data entry is helped by the handwriting recognition feature.

Connectivity is provided by a whole host of connections which include HSDPA and Wi-Fi connections for high speed internet access, whilst EDGE, GPRS and HSCSD, Blue tooth and microUSB ensures maximum connectivity. For satellite navigation the integrated GPS with A-GPS support is provided and is ably assisted by Ovi maps 3.0.

The Nokia X6, much like the Nokia N900, is well crafted and impressive. The handset is 111 mm x 51 mm wide and is only 13 mm thick. The unit weighs 122 grams and has an impressive ARM 11 434 MHz processor at the core of its functionality. The added benefit of the Symbian OS v9.4 operating system completes the package.
