Oct. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- (Hollywood, CA) Interscope Geffen A&M Records artist, Mickey Avalon, has just been announced as the opening act for the sold out Blink-182 concert scheduled for October 10, 2009 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California. Avalon’s highly anticipated performance will include his new single “Stroke Me”, which debuted on KROQ last week. The performance will set-up for Avalon’s anticipated upcoming tour titled “Stroke Me” scheduled for November-December 2010 and untitled second album.

“I am excited to be opening up for my friend Travis Barker and stoked to be playing at the Palladium,” comments Avalon, “this performance will be a sneak preview as to what fans can expect on my upcoming album.”

About Mickey Avalon: Mickey Avalon has developed a new genre of rap that deserves a place between 80's glam rock and Hip-Hop's pop funk. Avalon’s debut self-titled solo album was released Nov. 7, 2006 on Interscope/Shoot to Kill Records in association with MySpace Records. Avalon has collaborated with many artists such as Young Jeezy and Jermaine Dupri for the Boost Mobile commercial. His songs have been featured in the 2008 movie Harold and Kumar ‘Escape From Guantanamo Bay’. His song “Jane Fonda” was featured briefly in an episode of ‘Entourage’. He collaborated with the Happy Mondays on their 2007 album ‘Uncle Dysfunktional’, providing vocals on the track “Deviants”. Avalon also co-wrote Unwritten Law’s radio hit, “Shoulda Known Better,” and also provided vocals for a remix version which has been released on Unwritten Law’s “best of” album, ‘The Hit List.’ Avalon’s song “My Dick” was featured in the end credit for the HBO original series “Hung”. Mickey Avalon’s second album is slated for a winter 2010 release.
