In April 2009, Topchik took those well-honed skills seriously and began offering a much needed professional service through his new venture, The VIP Solution Master. Clients meet with Topchik and provide information so that a realistic assessment of their situation can be made, including its scope and seriousness. Topchik then prioritizes, organizes and oversees the implementation of a course of action. This may require research, referrals to other professionals, and obtaining bids and the best prices for work.

“We not receive referral fees or compensation from any advisors of vendors,” Topchik was quick to point out. “Nor do we request access to our clients’ funds, personal financial data and the like, unless they grant us permission in writing.”

Topchik has been known to assemble experts, then get various opinions and prices for repair work, resulting in saving a client thousands of dollars. He has been instrumental in having a client’s lapsed Medicare supplemental policy reinstated. He has quieted concerns about the legal and tax consequences of employing a nanny in one’s home; brought in an independent insurance adjuster so that a client received fair payment of a fire-damage claim; helped resolve contract disputes; and got a health insurance carrier to increase the number of refills for a prescription so that a client would have a sufficient amount of medication during extended travel.

“Our objective is to free people up to enjoy their lives, rather than having them become upset or devastated by occurrences that are very time consuming. We take the burden off their shoulders and put it onto ours,” Topchik concluded. “So far, we’ve had no complaints.”
