PRLog -- Cleveland, OH – There are many methods people use today to find employment. Going place to place with resume in hand, going to job fairs, going through recruiters, and searching the numerous online job websites.
In the past, each one of the above mentioned methods would offer the job seeker a decent chance of finding work. Today, most resumes sit in a pile on someone’s desk, are filed away in a drawer, or get tossed into a garbage can. Job fairs may attract thousands of job seekers, but most are competing for a 100 jobs or so at best. The Internet does offer an easy way to search job openings from around the country, but most of those jobs seem to fill quicker then clicking the link to get there.
There is one other method of finding employment, and that method is still used today in some degree: referrals. Having someone, who is already employed at the work place, putting in a good word for someone else, has always proved to be the best method of getting in the door. There is now a new website utilizing this method.
