Sept. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- XTO ENERGY & ENCORE ACQUISITION CO. TO BLITZ BUILD TWO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HOMES IN FORT WORTH’S SUNDANCE SQUARE IN CELEBRATION OF
TRINITY HABITAT’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY - SEPTEMBER 24-28, 2009

FORT WORTH, (September 17, 2009) – Trinity Habitat for Humanity with corporate partners, XTO Energy and Encore Acquisition Company, will blitz build two houses in downtown Fort Worth’s Sundance Square to celebrate Trinity Habitat’s 20th Anniversary, September 24-28, 2009.  With their companies headquartered in downtown Fort Worth, XTO Energy and Encore Acquisition’s title sponsorship of the houses and the 20th Anniversary Celebration combines for an exciting community collaboration.

"Trinity Habitat is thrilled to have two wonderful home grown energy companies celebrate our first 20 years in Sundance Square in the heart of downtown Fort Worth,” said Trinity Habitat’s Executive Director, Gage Yager.  “Like so many other Habitat partners Encore and XTO lead by example."

Vaughn O. Vennerberg, II, President of XTO Energy Inc. said, "XTO is pleased to recognize the work of Trinity Habitat for Humanity by being a house and title sponsor of their 20th Anniversary celebration.  They have been bringing the dream of homeownership to North Texans for many years and we appreciate their service to the community.”

“Fort Worth has been very good to Encore Acquisition Company and we are delighted to be able to give something back to Fort Worth by participating in Trinity Habitat for Humanity’s 20 Year Celebration.  As one of the title sponsors, volunteering on this project will benefit our employees as much as the family who will eventually occupy the house. There is no better feeling than knowing you have made a positive impact on other people’s lives,” said Jon S. Brumley, CEO and President.

XTO Energy and Encore Acquisition employees will build the houses side by side in the Sundance Square parking lot located at 3rd and Main Street.  This unprecedented event in downtown Fort Worth is generously hosted by Sundance Square and will assist in the visual display of building a Habitat home.

“Trinity Habitat for Humanity is an amazing organization that provides hope for families who need assistance,” said Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square. “Watching two homes being built in the middle of Sundance Square will be very exciting while highlighting such an important cause. We are pleased to support Trinity Habitat for Humanity as they celebrate 20 years of improving the lives of so many people in Fort Worth and the four counties they serve: Johnson, Parker, Tarrant and Wise.”

The two Habitat partner families whose lives will be changed through this historic venture are both single moms; Blanca Jimenez mother of Meleny (8) and Leticia Castaneda mother to five boys, Jesse (15), David (12), Heriberto (9), Jose (7) and Angel (4).  Each family will join the volunteers in building their homes before they are moved to the respective lots in Northside Fort Worth on Monday, September 28, 2009 following a dedication ceremony that morning.  This is the 10th home that Trinity Habitat has built and moved in the 20 year history.  Details of the 20th Anniversary follow:
