Floatworks’ i-sopod Goes in to Orbit!

Now in their sixteenth year of trading, The Floatworks decided to commission their own float system after experiencing many frustrations with the previous generation of tank – they were ugly, prone to overheating and breakdown, suffered from terrible condensation (the cold drip on the forehead was the curse of many float sessions at the time), and liable to let you down when you least expected it.

Using the expertise and know-how that only sixteen years at the top of the industry can bring, The Floatworks have ironed out all of these problems, and created a product that is not only effective and reliable, but is also a design classic. The i-sopod’s beautiful curves have been featured in many respected national magazines and websites.

Many trade enquiries come from people who originally only booked in for a floatation session out of curiosity. Customers have been so impressed that they have placed orders on the spot.  Despite only recently installing the i-sopod in its centre The Floatworks still have a waiting list of several weeks for weekend and peak-time appointments, and are looking into expanding the operation into many different towns and cities across Europe.

In the three months since its launch The Floatworks have sold i-sopods to the UK, USA, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Japan.

With running costs equating to around a minuscule US$18 per week per tank and demand for the US$66 per hour sessions at an all-time high, the potential profit is mind-boggling. For example, 1 tank in constant use will receive approximately 270 clients per month.  At the upper rate of US$66 per session, this works out to US$17,820 per month. After deducting the US$18 per week running costs, the purchaser is still left with a healthy US$17,748 monthly income, PER TANK. With the current purchase price at US$25,500 the initial outlay will be recovered in six weeks! This is a marked improvement on the income and cost of most sun bed systems, with none of the negative health connotations associated with artificial tanning.
