Aug. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- Part 2: Using Mobile Phones To Sell Pizza

We've discussed before (in Part 1: Using Mobile Phones To Sell Pizza) about how mobile phones can be used to market a much larger audience. In here, we'll further discuss how you can properly use mobile marketing to increase your customers, sales, and give you one step ahead of your competitors.

Embedding Google Maps on your website

If you want to add your business to Google Maps:
• Visit the Google Local Business Center “Add/Edit Your Business” page.
• Before registering your business, make sure that it isn't already listed. Avoid duplicate listings by searching for your business name within your city.
• If you can see that your business is already listed, click “Claim Your Business” but if not, carry on with the procedure of adding a new listing.
• You will receive a personal identification number (PIN) which you can either choose to receive by mail of phone. You will then use this PIN to activate your listing, it can take up to 1 month so just relax.
• Your landing page allows you to provide an interactive means for customers to map their way to your location. To locate you, all they have to do is click on a link within your Web site and they are taken to an accurate road map with directions.

Making All This Work Profitably

Today, mobile marketing is all about the multi-channel approach. If you want to communicate effectively with your current and prospective customers, integrate your mobile marketing strategy with traditional printed posters, menus, ads and other aspects of online and email marketing.

Make your mobile community part of a wider marketing community, and not just something you run alongside it.

For example, sending someone a piece of direct mail about the latest special offer puts something physical in the hands of the consumer but with no guarantee that it’s available to them when they need it. Consider delivering coupons to customers on their mobile devices, so they are stored and always ready to use. You can even use the traditional flyer to tell people that your pizzeria has a mobile service, and by including a small code address on the flyer can get them started.

By simply adding your mobile marketing as a component of your marketing strategies, it will expand your reach to the multi-tasking, on-demand generation that wants something new and unique yet easy to access.
