Stephen King tells 11 year old why he likes America

Aug. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- Hollywood Florida August a Book was opened for a little girl to read from a box of books her mother gave her. The girl opened one of the books that the mother explained was her mothers books. The little girls grandmother. The little girl began to read and play with the books when out  popped 2 letters dated 1985.

From the Estate of a collector this letter was kept safe inside this book. The letters where addressed to an 11 year old boy the brother of the mother from the books collection from the little girls grandmother.

In 1985 a mother this stories grandmother sent letters to famous people asking different questions, Stephen King the famous book writer novelist, and Farrah Fawcett  asking them why they likes America.  This is the reply that Stephen King returned to her for the Grade school project for her son in1985.

Why do I love America? Stephen Kings reply:

Because I got rich here! It gave me a chance to better myself. In America it
is true that you can end up better off than your parents. And you don't get hassled for what you write. I can write for a living, and do it without censorship
or restriction.

The letter was on Stephen Kings personal stationary and signed by him. The letter is in Great to Mint Condition and the return address affixed.

The second letter was to Farrah Fawcett  and was placed onto a post card with her picture on it and sent in 1985 in response to the question “Why do you Love America”.

Farrah Fawcett  answered :

I like America because it really is the land of opportunity you can become whatever you choose.

This letter can be seen and viewed on eBay “Stephen King signed Memorabilia” and Farrah Fawcett  Memorabilia were the mother of the little girl of this story was directed by a family friend.

I wonder if she will get rich as Stephen King has writing his novels, or become whatever she chooses like Farrah Fawcett. Both of these letters can be seen online at eBay and are available for all to read. I wish the family luck and someday hope to be asked the same question.
