For Miami Duck Tours Safety is Nothing to Quack at | Miami Beach Florida

Aug. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- The CPR School, LLC recently conducted a CPR, AED and First Aid Safety training class for the staff at Miami Duck Tours in Miami Beach Florida (www.ducktoursmiami.com).  This was our first time teaching for the Miami Duck Tours staff, stated Keith Murray, owner of The CPR School, LLC.  The staff was really great and were very interested in learning, asking a lot of very good questions.

Miami Duck Tours uses custom made state-of-the-art amphibious vehicles called a "Hydra Terra." Each and every vehicle is a U.S. Coast Guard approved "T" vessel as well as a certified passenger vehicle for use on the roadways.

These vehicles have revolutionary positive buoyancy foam filled compartments making these vessels virtually unsinkable. These vessels will remain afloat even with the drain plugs removed and full engine room flooding.

The Hydra Terra is 39' long and 8' feet wide and has a seating capacity of 45-49 passengers. On land, they can travel up to 65 miles per hour and require drivers to hold a Class "A" or "B" CLD License issued by the Florida Department of Transportation.   By sea, the Hydra-Terra travels at 6 knots and must be operated by a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain.

The vehicles are equipped with adult and children life preservers as well as fire extinguishers per requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Based in Florida, The CPR School travels to your business to perform onsite group CPR AED and First Aid training for various types of businesses.  Our typical customers are Florida construction and utility companies, Fortune 500 companies, condo and homeowners associations, country clubs, health clubs, medical and dental offices, auto dealerships, transportation companies, churches and schools, building materials / supply companies, HVAC contractors, road construction and paving companies, electrical contractors / electricians and plumbing contractors as well as people in the marine industry.

Keith Murray, the owner of The CPR School, LLC is also the lead instructor.  Keith indicates that they try to customize their classes to fit the industry.  For example, if they are teaching a class for contractors they will spend more time talking about injuries from cuts, burns, falls as well as heat related emergencies.  When we teach for a daycare or school we spend more time on pediatric emergencies such as choking, poisoning and allergic reactions.

In addition to training we also sell Automated External Defibrillators – AEDs.  We pride ourselves on not pushing the customer on a specific brand of AED.  We try to educate the customer and help them make an informed decision as to which AED is best for the customer.
