Alta Lift Truck Services donates rental forklift for World’s Largest Cupcake

Aug. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- Alta Lift Truck Services is pleased to join GourmetGiftBaskets.com & Jensen Industries in supporting the Susan G. Komen’s Passionately Pink for the Cure this Saturday, August 15th, when the world’s largest cupcake is unveiled and inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records during the Woodward Dream Cruise.

The cupcake is being created by a team led by famed baker George Algarin in a six foot by six foot oven at Jensen Industries and transported to the Woodward Dream Cruise where it will be unveiled in the Kroger parking lot at 13 Mile Road and Woodward.  

The cupcake itself is expected to be 7 feet tall, 6 feet wide and approximately 7,000 lbs and will require a week of prep, and twenty-four hours of baking.  The Yale rental forklift which is being donated by Alta to assist in the transport is a Yale GLP155CA and can move loads up to 15,000 pounds.  

With a donation to the Susan G. Komen for the cure, participants can try a piece of the cupcake, or have their picture taken.  All proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen’s Passionately Pink for the Cure.
