Aug. 4, 2009 - PRLog -- Touch screen technology is already used for control and data logging on single reactors and flasks using HEL’s MicroNOTE system, and now it has been extended to control HEL’s compact and cost effective parallel synthesis platform – the PolyBLOCK. The multi-zone reaction platform is available in 2 versions, performing 4 or 8 reactions in independently controlled temperature zones. The modular nature of the system allows users to change their platform according to their research requirements. PolyBLOCK is a robust and cost effective solution for both low and high pressure applications; it is used in hundreds of laboratories around the world for applications such as parallel crystallisation, hydrogenation, catalyst screening and various other synthesis applications.

The new touch screen system requires no knowledge of standard or specialist software packages and “feels” exactly like a conventional key-pad controller – whilst providing the benefits of automation, data logging and recording and graphical data display. Designed for the occasional as well as regular users this system is set to significantly increase productivity in process development labs.
Whilst standard “off the shelf” systems are available, many additional features and enhancements can be incorporated on request, through sophisticated customisation and tailoring of the system for the more demanding applications
