Follow on Google News | The FDA, CDC and HHS are Suppressing Swine Flu Cures from the PublicTop Government Health agencies have known about a Swine Flu cure and are turning a deaf ear. This lack of interests in keeping American lives safe extends from Ms. Sebelius, Secretary of Health, down to the CDC and FDA.
By: Roger Brown, Ph.D. If the killer version of the flu comes back the only known treatment is to kill the virus within 12 hours after symptoms first appear. After that about 20% of the people infected will die no matter what medical treatment they receive. It is a known fact that there are no approved treatments or cures that will act fast enough to treat the killer version should it return. On April 27, 2009 Dr. Joshua M. Sharfstein, Acting Commissioner of the FDA, wrote a letter to Dr. Richard E. Besser, Acting Director of the CDC, telling him that after an exhaustive search Tamiflu was found to be an effective treatment for the Swine Flu. However, the FDA’ web site said just the opposite. There they stated it did not relief any of the flu’ symptoms or even shorten its duration. On May 10th the World Health Organization was informed of a new Swine Flu cure that had been in human trials for two years and was 100% effective. On May 20th Roberta Wagner, Director of FDA Compliance, was informed of this same Swine Flu cure. On June 11, 2009 letters were sent to Ms. Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health HHS that declared the Swine Flu emergency, Dr. Besser of the CDC, Dr. Thomas Frieden, the new Director of the CDC, and President Obama at the White House informing them all that the April 27th letter from the FDA was misleading and false. In fact there was a cure for the Swine Flu and the FDA had known about it since May. WHO chose not to respond, Ms. Sebelius chose not to respond nor did Dr. Besser or Dr. Sharfstein but Dr. Frieden did answer on June 24th. Dr. Frieden suggested that this new drug be submitted to Medical Countermeasures for processing. As it turned out Medical Countermeasures was nothing more than an internet web form site that sends a request to four Government agencies to determine their interests in setting up a meeting where they can ask questions. These four agencies are: FDA, CDC, HHS and BARDA (the Government drug procurement agency). On June 29th BARDA was contacted independently asking for what programs were available to find a cure for the Swine Flu. Ms. Kim Hall, OS/ASPR/BARDA, answered on July 6, 2009 and said that there was currently no Swine Flu interest with any of her agencies but suggested contacting Medical Countermeasures. As of this writing there has been no response from Medical Countermeasures. Interestingly, not a single Government agency has asked for any proof this new drug can cure the Swine Flu nor have any asked if there is any proof it is safe. A little known fact is the FDA has an unwritten policy of never approving any drug sponsored by an individual or a small company: "I never have and never will approve a new drug to an individual, but only to a large pharmaceutical firm with unlimited finances." Dr. Richard J. Crout, Director, Bureau of Drugs, FDA, The Spotlight, January 18, 1982. It isn’t clear what the FDA’ definition of a small company where new drug approval will be with held is but it appears to be most companies who gross under $100 million. This fact is generally kept secret from the small companies that apply for drug approval as the FDA charges a $1,000,000 filing fee to start their approval process. It is becoming painfully clear that the US Government’s Health agencies have no interests in finding any treatment for the Swine Flu outside of their press departments. They claim they are spending billions with the large pharmaceutical companies looking for a cure but the hope of finding something that works in the remaining time is dimming. Under the Emergency Use law that Congress passed the FDA is required to look for any and all drugs that “may” represent a treatment for the Swine Flu and are safe. This law didn’t state that the FDA is only to look to the large pharmaceutical companies but instead to look for all possible treatments where ever they may be found. When the flu returns this fall hundreds of thousands of Americans will die needlessly because no effective treatment was found by the FDA sponsored large pharmaceutical companies. If the killer version returns the deaths will be in the millions. The epitaph for all these dead will read “Died because of FDA Policy”.
