Intel® Atom™ Platform: The inevitable trend for Panel PCs is that they are becoming increasingly compact. Avalue has extended its original Panel PC series and the latest designs comply with the Intel® Atom™ platform, which brings many advantages like space-save, low power and cost, and making these products more compatible.




LED Backlight Panel: Avalue’s Panel PCs use LED backlights, which reduces heat generation in Panel PCs, thereby using less power than other types of panel PCs. The LED backlight panels are integrated with Avalue’s small screens of the FPC Series, which not only lowers the cost of the FPC Series due to greater power efficiency, but also prolongs the products’ life cycle.


Sunlight Readable (Optical Bonding): With the new technology of Optical Bonding, Avalue’s panel display literally has greater luminance and contrast, and reduced internal reflections. The screens have been designed to reduce glare, facilitate maximum light transmission, and remain durable. Generally, the higher transparency and lower reflection features of the Optical Bonding panel save backlight power and cost, and add to users’ visual enjoyment. The sunlight readable panel is widely applied in places like mass transportation and outdoor kiosk pavilions. Another innovation is a privacy filter, which protects the security of on-screen data. A specially designed film blacks out the screen at viewing angles greater than 30 degrees. The privacy filter is generally used for applications such as ATM and airplane passenger amusement.


Super Anti-Abrasion (Glass-On-Top): Avalue’s touch panel incorporates a Super Anti-Abrasion (SAA) five-wire resistive touch, which provides the best abrasion resistance and improves the safety of artificial operation. The SAA technique Avalue offered is that glass covers the top of the panel to avoid directly touching the film; it also improves the touch panel’s performance in withstanding external attacks. As reported by tests, the SAA enables Avalue’s Touch Panel PCs to reach 6.2~6.5 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, which means it is highly resistant to scratching and is very durable. Additionally, the front panel sealing also meets the IP-65 water/dust-proof standard, which is suitable for industrial controlling applications.


Customized Peripherals: Avalue provides a variety of customization services. Avalue’s Panel PC can be easily expanded with many peripherals, including RFID, a smart card reader, a Magnetic Strip Reader (MSR), and WiFi.
