July 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Despite being bombarded with shots of glamourous celebrities jetting around the world, we prefer to travel more Wayne and Waynetta than Brad and Ange, according to a recent survey from HolidayExtras.com.

In the latest online poll from UK market-leader HolidayExtras.com, a resounding 68% of customers admitted that their best travel outfit is the comfiest thing in their wardrobe. When preparing for a flight, just 7% of Holiday Extras customers choose to wear something that makes them look fantastic.

And Gok Wan will be devastated to hear that it isn't predominantly the men who feel this way, 80% of women polled would rather pull on track suit bottoms than a killer outfit.

A higher-flying 8% of customers dress to impress in the hope of getting upgraded, and a smart 10% feel that they are an ambassador of the UK when travelling overseas.

Sadly, it doesn't look like the safari suit is set to make a return, with only 5% of those polled wearing something with lots of pockets to carry travel accessories. A slack 2% just grab whatever's not been packed.

Helen Gill, fashion expert at http://www.HolidayExtras.com, said: "Feeling comfortable is obviously really important when you travel. But it is possible to combine style and comfort - for example, linen looks and feels great."
