July 17, 2009 - PRLog -- NEWS RELEASE:

Falls Church, VA - Nursing Spectrum Division of Continuing Education has been awarded the prestigious 2009 Accreditation Premier Program Award from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the global leader in nurse credentialing.  Nursing Spectrum is being acknowledged for its innovation and excellence in the provision of continuing nursing education. According to the ANCC, the award was created to "recognize accredited continuing nursing education providers that continually raise the bar for quality and employ cutting-edge practices," making Nursing Spectrum a clear leader in the healthcare industry.  For more information about this ANCC award click here.

For the second consecutive time ANCC has given this prestigious award to Nursing Spectrum CE, one of only two organizations to have ever received this honor.  The Premier Program Award is the "seal of approval," giving nursing professionals the confidence of knowing they are receiving high-quality CE from a tested and trusted provider.

The application for this award had to reflect leadership, innovativeness, and creativity in business practices, education delivery, and expansion and dissemination of knowledge in 11 areas. Passing a rigorous, peer review validated Nursing Spectrum's progressive practices in delivering what nurses need to know before they know they need to know it.  The peer review process is an ongoing operation that involves a huge network of editors, authors, speakers, and reviewers.

In 2007 when first conferring this award, the ANCC stated, "The most obvious example of Nursing Spectrum CE's status as a model of learning excellence comes from the more than 250 healthcare organizations and systems that have contracted for access to Nursing Spectrum CE's educational activities for their nurses through CE Direct. Some organizations have been in this relationship for seven years or more, and the program has a 95% renewal rate."
