Internationally Renowned Artist Ilana Lilienthal Creates Unique Space Styling Art

July 15, 2009 - PRLog -- Internationally renowned artist, Ilana Lilienthal, has announced the opening of her new studio location at 96 NW 29th Street in the Design District, showcasing her pieces for her innovative “Space Styling” collection.

“It is breathtaking to see how art has the power to completely transform and style a space,” said Lilienthal. “I love knowing and seeing that my art has done that for so many spaces both public and private,” added Lilienthal.

Lilienthal’s art pieces include large scale, spreading elements and energy into a space. The harmony and dialog between the image, the sight, and the people around the facility, create a strong experience of size and colors dancing together. By creating those big sculpture installations in public places (like shopping centers, parks, hotel lobbies, and office buildings) the everyday life of people is touched. She has had large scale art installations in museums and public spaces around the world including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York; Deutschen Museum; Newark Museum in New Jersey; Transart Gallery in Munich, Germany; the Brodt Institute for Jewish Culture in Tel-Aviv, Israel; Fordham University; the Las Vegas Fashion Outlet Mall; Towson Place in Baltimore; Southland Mall; to name a few.

With Ilana Lilienthal’s art it is obvious that there is no need to go specifically into an art gallery or museum. Her art is breaking its boundaries into everyday life by interacting with the architecture, the space, and the viewer becoming one with us. Her entirely new approach to transformative art, in combination with a unique use of mixed media, Ilana Lilienthal is an alchemist of the future.

She has coined a word 'sculpainting' to describe her unconventional technique of sculpting with light and color and painting beyond the canvas. Lilienthal builds up forms that move forward towards the viewer, reaching out beyond uneven edges, into movements, concentrated energy flashes and shimmering luminosity.
