Hindware Inaugurates First Brand Mega Store

May 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Hindware, the market leader in bathroom concepts, launches their first exclusive brand mega store in Kochi under the banner “Hindware Lacasa”. After Kochi the company would launch a series of Hindware Lacasa centers in all major metros and mini metros across India.

The store showcases Hindware’s elite product range across all categories including bathroom, Kitchen, wellness and faucet segment. The store offers first hand experience of product features and performance.

During the inauguration, Mr. Sandip Somany, Joint Managing Director, HSIL Limited said, “Hindware Lacasa is a unique concept store designed to give our customers a feel of the niche products offered by Hindware. We feel that it will help us to bring the brand closer to the customer and it will be a completely different experience for them.”

Hindware Lacasa is set up on a floor area of 5600 sq ft and is of an investment of Rs. 5 crore. The company would be operating the store directly. After Kochi, the concept store goes to Mumbai and in the span of next couple of years it will cover all the major cities. Each store would be of around 6000 sq. ft area and of an investment of around Rs. 5 crore.

With regard to Kochi and the southern market, Mr. Somany elaborated, “We have created a leadership position in North and East India and now we are focusing to set firm steps in the south market in a big way. We feel that the people of Kerala have a fine taste for things and by opening up Hindware Lacasa we are providing niche Hindware products at their doorsteps.”

The Hindware Lacasa will provide the ideal environment for architects, interior designers and B2B buyers to envision, and then explore dream products for kitchens and baths. This variety of stores would have significant demand throughout the major towns and cities. Hindware Lacasa will showcase the evolution of Homes, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom that is the most used rooms in Home. These stores will showcase the best range of Hindware products across all categories and offer first-hand experience of product features and performance.

Hindware Lacasa is a part of Hindware’s 3-tier retail expansion strategy where the company would open exclusive Hindware Boutiques & Arcades in major towns, small shop in shops in small cities and Hindware Lacasa in selected cities. The cumulative investment to fuel the Retail Expansion in HSIL Ltd and its subsidiary EVOK would be approx 300 crores.
