Whilst 15 seconds may not seem very long to get a message across this slot time has been chosen by the site's owner for a good reason. “We live in a very fast moving world and with so many distractions out there, there is a greater need to grab folk's attention. With the internet full of static text ads and banner ads, I thought it was time to create something more dynamic.

Subscribers to the FamousForFifteenSeconds.com site pay just $5 per month which will enable them to upload an image and URL. There are a total of 5760 15 second slots available and when all are sold each ad will be displayed for 15 seconds every 24 hours. However those subscribers joining the scheme early will enjoy considerably more rotations of their ad until such time as all slots have been sold. When a visitor to the site sees an ad of interest and clicks on it within the 15 second period they will be instantly taken to that subscribers own website where they can spend as long as they wish to view things in greater detail.

Adrian Cowley came up with the idea for the site as a way to pay off his debts. As soon as he done so he has vowed to donate any excess profits to charities researching cures for diabetes and coeliac disease, from which two of his children suffer.
