Introduced in November 2008, the inaugural Scene From Both Sides program was featured on WOAI’s "San Antonio Living" and in video blogs on woai.com. "We had a great response when we posted the blogs," says Bob Gambert (aka CyberBob), Web Director for woai.com. "Our viewers are fascinated by seeing everything that goes on behind the scenes of TV and film, and 'Scene From Both Sides' is a great opportunity to give them a first-person view of the process, so we’re thrilled to be working with PrimaDonna Productions to bring them the second year of this program." The 2008 class’s film, "The Art of Disaster", premiered in January 2009 and was recently screened at Luminaria Arts Night in San Antonio. "I am so proud of the work our students did on 'The Art of Disaster'," says Nikki Young, President of PrimaDonna Productions, Inc., who oversees "Scene From Both Sides" along with Vice President Chadd Green and A.J. Learning about the other side of filmmaking, what writers and directors and cinematographers and editors do, has helped me become a better actor." After directing a scene in the film, Anissa Carr, another 2008 participant, decided to further pursue her interest in directing, telling woai.com, "I can definitely see myself doing this again.' Holding true to her word, Carr will make her stage directorial debut in The Renaissance Guild's ActOne Series, to be presented at the Jump Start Theatre (108 Blue Star, San Antonio, TX 78204) on May 8-9, 2009.
