Mary D. Tranquillo, Ph. D, grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, but currently lives in Charlotte, NC where she works as a full time faculty member and as the Associate Campus Dean at Strayer University. After a successful writing course as part of her Master’s program, she became conscious of her dream to become a writer. Since 1974, she has written many articles on fashion, learning, human resource management, organization development and a book, Styles of Fashion: a Pictorial Handbook. Her fight with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity has inspired a shift in focus in order to impart her knowledge of the condition to those who can help prevent and treat it.
