Hypnos Adds Recycling Program As Top Priority

April 23, 2009 - PRLog -- The luxury mattress company HYPNOS, kicked off its Green Challenge Recycling Program on Earth Day.  The company's mission is geared towards helping make environmentally friendly decisions in the workplace.  The company has formed a "Green Team" to help facilitate recycling paper, aluminum, and plastic throughout the office.  In addition, the company is striving to decrease energy usage by turning off lights, computers and machinery when not in use and installing motion sensors throughout the central office located in Nashville, TN.  

"Our corporate headquarters in the UK have been determined to take part in helping the environment," says Adrian Jones, VP of Sales in the U.S.  "We wanted to take what they are doing in the UK and practice environmentally friendly practices here in the U.S., as well.  We are very proud of our decisions to increase our awareness of the dramatic changes taking place in our environment and we know we will help make a difference."

HYPNOS in the UK has not only been recycling in the office, they have also created a Mattress Recycling Program through a centralized location and purchased recycling machinery. The machinery required substantial investment, some $1,000,000 However; it automatically separates steel, fiber and wood for recycling.  HYPNOS in the U.S. is exploring this practice and plans to do the same in the future.
