Are You Compostable?

April 23, 2009 - PRLog -- Blue & Green Designs of Raleigh, NC introduces their “I’m Compostable” 100% certified organic cotton t-shirts.  The company hopes that the t-shirts will make people smile and simultaneously get more people involved in composting food and yard waste. Designer and obsessed composter Lena Cox first created the t-shirts for several friends who were enjoying their 40th birthdays.  “The shirts were a humorous statement on my friends’ ages and also on their eventual compostability.” says Cox. Staying true to the shirt’s message, the shirt itself is compostable. Once the wearer is done loving and wearing the shirt, they can grab a pair of scissors, shred it up, and toss it in their compost bin for the worms to turn into compost.  The shirts are available at http://bluegreendesigns.etsy.com.
