Dr. Jane Barbin, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D), set the mission for Behavioral Directions, LLC to promote best-practice in the local area and beyond through direct client work and interface with community partners. In 2008 they participated in two walks to benefit individuals with autism, including sharing information at the Autism Speaks “Walk Now for Autism” on the National Mall. Dr. Barbin’s work as a Board Member of the Association for Science in Autism Treatment (ASAT) (www.asatonline.org)
Christine Crowell, MA, BCBA is a consultant with Behavioral Directions, LLC who is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a credential important to serving those with autism and implementing ABA procedures. Like Dr. Barbin, Ms. Crowell also trained in Behavioral Psychology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Kennedy Krieger Institute and has extensive experience working with children and teens with autism, developmental disabilities and challenging behavior disorders such as self-injury, aggression, and disruptive behaviors.
