Win 3 Cases Of Wine For The Next 10 Years

Sextant Wines, flagship of 10knots Cellars, announces their Vineyard Naming Contest, in which the winner will receive 3 cases of wine each year for the next 10 years.

April 13, 2009 - PRLog -- W hen their Templeton Vineyard was planted in 2003, Craig and Nancy Stoller, Sextant Wines’ Proprietors,  went round and round on what to name the site that would be producing some of their most cherished grapes. The vineyard was developed with Sunridge Nurseries, Inc. as the only commercial vineyard in the Paso Robles AVA that is also a State of California registered and certified nursery block. Material planted includes the highest quality UC Davis clones and selections from the French Entav-Inra program and similar Spanish and Portuguese programs.
          Now six years later with no further name created, the Stollers are looking to the public for some insight & help in naming the currently referred to “RBZ Vineyards” (as in Rhone, Bordeaux, Zinfandel).

The contest winner will be announced at Sextant’s annual Library Release Party on
August 22, 2009 and will receive:
* 3 Cases of Wine for the next 10 years
* Plaque bearing winners name proudly displayed at Sextant
* Bragging rights – priceless!

The vineyard naming contest will be open to the public from April 1, 2009 to July 1, 2009.
Submit a “Vineyard Name” to vineyardnamingcontest@sextantwines.com to be entered  into the contest.  There is no limit to the number of entries each participant submits, but only provide one “Vineyard Name” per email.  So, for example if you want to submit five different “Vineyard Names”, please send five separate emails.  You may also mail an entry form to Sextant Wines at PO Box 391, Paso Robles, CA 93447.  Entry forms can be downloaded from Sextant’s website, www.sextantwines.com,  from the “Trade and Media” section.

On July 15, 2009 the top 20 “Vineyard Names”, as chosen by Sextant Wines, will be announced.  The public will then have the opportunity to vote, via email, on their favorite.  On July 15, 2009, the top 10 “Vineyard Names”, as chosen by voters, will be announced and again, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite. To participate in the voting, you must be on Sextant’s mailing list, a member of their wine club or have submitted a contest entry because the voting will be done via email. The contest winner, chosen by Sextant Wines from the final top 10 “Vineyard Names”, will be announced at their annual Library Release Party on August 22, 2009.  *The Library Release Party is open to current Deckhand members and by invitation only. Wines included in the three cases shipped to winner for the next 10 years, will be chosen at Sextant Wines discretion.
