April 12, 2009 - PRLog -- My name is Dennis Frommeyer and I have an invention your magazine or newspaper might be interested in doing a  feature article on.
I have invented a tarp I call The Pruning Partner. The Pruning Partner is a tarp you put next to and under a bush or hedge before you prune or trim them. As the bush or bushes are trimmed, the trimmings fall onto the tarp. After you have finished trimming, you simply roll the tarp up with the trimmings inside and dispose of them. If the tarp has been set in a circle, you take the tarp apart at two of the hook and loop seams and roll each half up. The Pruning Partner keeps you from having to try to rake the trimmings out of the decorative bedding material (mulch, pine chips, rock, gravel, etc.), ultimately keeping the trimmings out of the bedding material for a much cleaner and more appealing look. The Pruning Partner also saves your bedding material from being picked up. The Pruning Partner is adjustable to be able to go in a circle around a bush, in a straight line, in an L-shape, or many other configurations. There are six pieces to each tarp and is made of a very tear resistant fabric.
I came up with the idea after a conversation I had with my wife. I was trimming the bushes in front of our house one day and commented to my wife “I wish there was something available to put under a bush before you trimmed it, that would make it easier to clean up the trimmings and keep the trimmings out of the bedding material.” She told me to invent something. I did some research and found there was nothing available. So, I thought about it for a couple of days and decided I thought I could take a circle and divide it into six equal pieces. I made a paper model of my idea and found that if you took each piece and turned it opposite, it would go in a straight line, and if you turned it opposite again, it would turn again. Then we made a prototype. The first time I used it, I was so happy and impressed with how well it worked, I decided to patent it and have it produced.
Now, a little bit about me. I am 48 years old, married, and have two daughters ages 14 and 18. I am a firefighter lieutenant for Scott County, Kentucky. I have been a firefighter for 20 years. My wife and I do construction and cabinet making on my days off from the fire department. My wife can do about anything when it comes to construction. This is how I came up with my invention and it really does work WELL!! I have a website http://www.pruningpartner.com that you can look at to see pictures and a video of the Pruning Partner.

Sell an adjustable tarp that is placed under and next a bush or bushes before you trim them. As the bush or bushes are trimmed the trimmings fall onto the tarp, When you are done, you simply roll the tarp up with the trimmings inside and dispose of them.
