Emptying deleted items

Deleted items from the Outlook PST file can be removed with manual method or by automatically. In order to remove the deleted items, you should go to deleted item folder and select all the mail then press delete key to empty them. You could also make the Outlook empty all the deleted items from the folder when it is closed. What you have to do is move to the tool option and click the other tab located at top to check the emptied deleted folder.

Sent items folders and in-box

Usually, unneeded mails are being kept in sent items and in-box folders and they sort out these mails according to the date of entry. You can go to this folders and scroll down the bottom to remove the mails that do not need anymore. After completing the process, you should empty the deleted items folder to compact the size of the PST file.

Deleting useless stuffs from Other Larger Folders

You can get an idea of the sizes of all larger folders by checking out the folder size. You should go through the larger folders and find out the useless information and data and delete them following the similar process discussed above.

Moving Mail to New PST files

If you still have a large PST file after going through the above suggestions then you should prefer to create a new file and move all the new mail to it. This process will help you to organize the e-mails in a better way.
