Introducing a Local Quarterly Publication about Fashion and Beauty

March 30, 2009 - PRLog -- Baltimore, MD – Sharan Nixon and the Baltimore Fashion Week design team always try to provide support for the community and those helping the Baltimore City community. Carolyn Gaither Ellis, publisher and owner of RazorsEdge Magazine is not only a local magazine owner, but also a local hero who was selected by the Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. as the Woman of the Year in Business (1994) and was inducted in the National Register’s Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals (2004).
Other honors include being a recipient of the Governor's Citation (1991), a Senatorial Resolution (1991), Mayor's Citizen Citation (1990), Special Recognition - Douglass High School Alumni Association - (1992), Travis Winkey’s 14 Carat Gold Award (1998). She has just been nominated to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Douglass High School Alumni Association, Inc.
Ellis had a distinguished career in the federal government before she retired on medical disability. However, retirement did not stop Ellis from starting a new business. She founded Production Supreme, a graphic design company, the parent company of RazorsEdge Magazine, a quarterly lifestyle periodical about the beauty, hair, and fashion industry. Readership has grown to include Baltimore and the surrounding community; Washington, DC; Richmond, Virginia; New York, Atlanta, and Dallas.
