PrimaDonna Productions, Inc. (PDP) offers a new series of classes just for young actors.

WHEN:
KIDS (Beginner Level): Mondays, 4:00 PM, beginning April 6
KIDS (Advanced Level): Thursdays, 4:00 PM, beginning April 9

‘TWEENS (Beginner Level): Tuesdays, 4:00 PM, beginning April 7
‘TWEENS (Advanced Level): Wednesdays, 4:00 PM, beginning April 8

TEENS (Beginner Level): Wednesdays, 5:30 PM, beginning April 8
TEENS (Advanced Level): Thursdays, 5:30 PM, beginning April 9

DETAILS:
In PrimaDonna Productions’ acting classes, young actors can learn and develop the essential skills for performing on stage or screen in one of three small groups: a Kids session for ages 5-9; a ‘Tweens session for ages 10-14; and a Teens session for ages 15-19. The classes will be taught by Nikki Young, President of PrimaDonna Productions, Inc., and will cover the history of the craft, techniques, styles, genres, industry standards, job roles, set etiquette, slating, interviewing, commercials, monologues, and more.

Each month focuses on a different topic, with April's classes focusing on Film Acting/Scene Study, May's classes focusing on Improvisation, June’s classes focusing on Acting for Commercials; and July’s classes focusing on Monologues.

PDP’s classes have earned praise from actors, parents, and talent buyers. Agent Linda Alcazar, owner of Condra Artista, calls the company’s programs “a great help to actors looking to get started.” Robin Nations, director of the film "Leftovers", says, “Thank goodness I had Nikki Young on set to work with [our] child actors … I am looking forward to working with her again.” Carolyn Janse, mother of actress Michel Janse, says that PDP’s classes “have given us total direction to help our daughter pursue her dream of acting”, and actor Cambell Westmoreland (who appears in Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming film "Shorts") says, “If you are serious about your acting career, then Nikki is your girl!”

Formed in 2000 by Nikki Young and Chadd Green, PrimaDonna Productions, Inc. is a full-service multimedia corporation whose services include video production, graphic design, event coordination, publicity and promotion, and training and development.

Young, who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southwest Texas State University (where she specialized in Child Drama), has been coaching kids from stage to screen since the summer of 2000, and has worked with hundreds of kids through camps, churches, film sets, and private sessions.
