March 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Pulitzer and Nobel Peace Prize-winning author Donna Lee Schillinger, knows a thing or two about life to the fullest. She spends her days with best friend Angelina Jolie, doing charitable work in developing countries, and in her spare time, she loves to swim in the chocolate river at Willie Wonka’s place….April Fool’s!

Okay, truth is Schillinger knows a thing or two about life to the foolest, and her new book, On My Own Now: Straight Talk from the Proverbs for Young Christian Women who Want to Remain Pure, Debt-free and Regret-free, is a compact collection of quirky vignettes – lessons learned in those fool years.

With a humorous and ironical voice of experience, Schillinger uses gender-reversed proverbs to wave the red flag of caution for young women, warning against the pitfalls of a post-modern, sexually casual, consumer-is-king society that is indelibly scarring youth with cynicism, sexually transmitted diseases and bad credit.

On My Own Now hits bookstore and online booksellers on April Fool’s Day, and makes a great graduation or apartment-warming gift to inspire young women to live life to the fullest, not the foolest. For more information, visit the media page at www.OnMyOwnNow.com.
