Wheatmark Wins Two 2009 SASIE Awards

Feb. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- Wheatmark, Inc., an industry-leading self-publishing company based in Tucson, won two Southern Arizona Smart Inspiring Enterprise awards.

Wheatmark won the creativity and innovation award for creating ground-breaking opportunities to change, grow, and improve the publishing market for self-publishing authors.  

Sam Henrie, president and founder of Wheatmark, also won an outstanding entrepreneur award. Henrie founded Wheatmark in 1999 to provide independent authors with a viable alternative to the traditional publishing route. By combining digital printing technologies and Internet-based distribution channels with the talents and expertise of experienced publishing professionals, Henrie’s goal is to provide a trade-quality publishing experience to independent authors at a fraction of the time, effort, and money they’d spend doing it entirely on their own.

The SASIE awards are presented annually by the Arizona Small Business Association, who recognize and honor outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate innovative, enterprising approaches to business. More than 115 business and entrepreneurs were nominated for the 2009 ceremony.
