Metl-Span Panels Provide Striking New Look For Aging Foundry Building

Feb. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- It’s hard to imagine the contemporary new Fallon Ambulance Service headquarters in Quincy, MA was originally an aging foundry building but that’s the case.  Constructed in the early 1900’s, the existing 35,000
sq. ft. structure was partially demolished and rebuilt with the addition of a 10,000 sq. ft. mezzanine.

Fallon employs more than 500 paramedics and EMTs and provides ambulance service to eastern Massachusetts and backup service to Boston. Approximately 22,000 sq. ft. of Metl-Span CF-30 and CF-36 Striated panels in horizontal application were utilized in the renovation.  The panels were finished in three complementary colors:  Fallon Blue, Regal Gray and Polar White.

Subcontractor on the project was Barnes Buildings & Management Group, Inc., Weymouth, MA.  Barnes Buildings has lots of experience with Metl-Span according to president Marty Barnes.  “We’ve had a great track record with Metl-Span over the years and use their panels whenever possible.  The product is reliable and provides a great value.  And installation always goes smoothly.”

Metl-Span pioneered many of the developments of insulated metal panels and continues to make significant contributions to design innovations and technology that have become industry standards.  For more information on the complete line of Metl-Span products, call 877-585-9969 or visit www.metl-span.com.
