Va Program By Brookfield Helping Military Buyers

Feb. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- San Diego homebuilder Brookfield Homes is making it easier for veterans and active duty military personnel to buy a new home. They are offering a new VA loan program that helps qualify buyers for home loans because it includes paying off credit card debt or car loans.

“We’ve helped so many and we want to help more veterans and active duty military to buy a new home, especially now that rates are historically low, home prices are at 2003 levels and builders have incentive dollars to buy down interest rates or pay down closing costs,” said Lora Heramb, vice president of sales and marketing for Brookfield Homes. “A lot of potential buyers right now feel constrained by credit card payments and car loans and therefore will not consider looking for a new home. With more cushion in their monthly expenses because Brookfield has paid some of their monthly dept, a new home purchase is possible.”

Brookfield Homes currently has five neighborhoods now selling with homes that may qualify for the VA loan program. These include attached and detached homes in San Diego’s South County, single-family detached homes in San Marcos, and detached homes in two neighborhoods in Riverside County.
