Nestlé Streamlines its Supply Chain Operation with SNS Integration Services
Dubai, 19/02/2009 – SNS, the leading provider of supply chain solutions in the Gulf and Middle-East, is proud to announce the Go-Live of its integration solution for Nestlé with its five logistics provider in the Middle-East.
The integration project, using Boomi Integration Platform, included interfaces such as SKU Import (with packing specification import), Advanced Shipment Notice Import/Export, Shipment Order Import/Export, Adjustment Export, Stock Hold Export and Stock Reconciliation with Nestlé SAP system in Dubai and hosted in Sydney. The interfaces were based on EDI file transfers and direct database connection with complex logic.
The complexity of going-live with 5 distributors was one of the major challenges in a project that required the full automation of document and data transfer between 6 systems without impacting the performance, speed and reliability of the operation. The successful implementation of the project resulted in the elimination of paper and email documents, full data integrity and a high visibility on the purchasing and order fulfillment process.
“The expertise of SNS with the Boomi Integration Platform, and their superior knowledge with Exceed’s WMS package, the WMS system of 4 of our 5 3PL operators made them the ideal supplier to ensure the success of the project”, said Roberto Mennilli, Supply Chain Director of Nestlé Middle East. “We are very satisfied with the results and even more with the continuous support that we are receiving.”
“Nestlé’s integration project was one of the most complicated projects we had to work on. As in all its projects SNS was keen to deliver the quality and efficiency that is expected from them,” said Mario Ghosn, General Manager at SNS. “Thanks to the dedication and reliability of both the Nestlé and SNS teams, we were able to complete this project successfully and on time.”
