Israeli Diamond Portal Reports: Online Diamond Trading on New Website

Feb. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- AFNS reports that the Dealers Organisation for Diamond Automated Quotes, an online polished diamond auction site, has been launched at www.dodaq.com. The system is not restricted to members of the diamond trade and both buyers and sellers are welcome.

DODAQ is based in Antwerp. Cash is held by ABN AMRO Bank in a Malca-Amit vault located in Geneva.

All diamonds traded through the website must be accompanied by verifiable certificates from a gemological lab. DODAQ CEO Simon Okuniew noted that the concept is to allow diamonds to be traded like any other commodity and to be used for investment.
