Dominick Tringali Architects To Welcome Ceo Of Habitat For Humanity, To Oakland Count

Feb. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Dominick Tringali Architects was pleased to welcome Mr. Jonathan Reckford, the CEO of Habitat for Humanity, to Oakland County on Wednesday evening.  DTA hosted a reception at our offices, in Bloomfield Hills, with the Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County staff and Board of Directors, our DTA staff, and various individuals who are committed to the HFHOC organization in attendance.  Mr. Reckford gave a short presentation regarding some of the great things Habitat for Humanity is doing, both nationally and internationally, to assist families who live in substandard housing or have lost their homes entirely in the devastating hurricanes.  Sally LePla, the Director of Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County, spoke of the wonderful things Habitat for Humanity is doing for the community, just a few miles away from our office, in the City of Pontiac.

At this event we also had the opportunity to unveil a new design that we are very excited about - a two story, sustainable Habitat house that will be built this fall, together with Craig Kallen of BrookLynn Homes.  Our 'DTA Green Team' was present at the event, explained more about the architecture of the home, which is somewhat unique to our area, and answered questions about sustainable design.  We look forward to kicking off the construction of this house and having opportunity to help another family in need of a place to call home.
