The light housing and base are completely enclosed in weather-tight Polycarbonate. Polycarbonate has very high and low temperature tolerances and is virtually unbreakable, yet extremely light weight and durable.

NightRay’s motor assemblies, shafts, brackets and other mechanical components are made from marine-quality materials. The limited slip-drive gears are made from self-lubricating Delrin®. Delrin® is a unique resin that is chemical and salt-water resistant, and maintains its lubricating properties in extreme weather conditions, ranging from -40° F to over 185°F.
