A Chilling True Story of a Successful Family that Reveals the Hidden Reality Behind Appearances

Jan. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- Columbus, Ohio Authors Marala Scott and Tre Parker have written a powerful and gripping memoir entitled, In Our House, Perception vs. Reality. The setting of this memoir takes place in a small city outside of Cleveland, Ohio.

Marala Scott gives vivid recollections of her horrific childhood. This memoir, published by Seraph Books, LLC, tells the story from her viewpoint as a child and provides analytical perspectives as an adult. "I believe that the pain we suffer as children will carry into our adult lives of our children if we choose to let it", says Marala.

In the book Collin is a brilliant, handsome, and charming man to the outside world, recruited by both the CIA and IBM. With all his success, the perception was that he had it all. Instead, the reality was a hellish nightmare of verbal and atrocious physical abuse for Alley, his beautiful wife, and their six children. Alley feels helpless to protect her children from Colin's constant attacks when three mysterious women visit her and promise he will never hurt them again - if she gives them what they want. For the sake of the children, she agrees. The women work their evil with her family and Alley gains immense power against Colin but finds herself demonically possessed.

This horror-filled battle between Colin's insatiable appetite for abuse versus Alley's demons will grip you and not let go! Who will win and what happens to the children?

This book is written to expose another reality of life and provide answers to avoid it. This story will give you inspiration to achieve a greater success in life. If we don't address tragic and horrific issues, they will definitely handle or destroy us. Tre Parker has known family members who have been subject to terrifying events within their walls but hide the truth from the outside world. These trying times can leave us searching for answers or help. It can be a test of your strength and faith.

This story will give you inspiration to achieve a greater success in life.  "I am proud to be part of this book because Marala is such an amazing mother, professional, and wife. Her story of survival and success should inspire all of us," adds Tre.
