WORLDbytes Xmas special provides alternative festive cheer

Dec. 12, 2008 - PRLog -- WORLDbytes the online news magazine channel launches its Xmas special programme on Friday 12th December. Created by the feisty WORLDwrite crew this Xmas special is full of spice. The programme includes fiery debates, spoof reports and films from Brazil to Brick Lane.

The fat bug sweeping the nation demands attention and scientist Joe Kaplinsky convinces us to chill out about GM foods.  A top notch panel of experts on growth in the developing world provide inspiring insights and include Martin Wolf, Dr Ha-Joon Chang and Daniel Ben Ami in a report from the Battle of Ideas festival. Not to be missed items range from Frank Field MP getting a roasting for his opposition to immigration, a new tour of Brick lane with revelations on the race issue and young volunteers having their say on Baby P, Xmas spirit and more in Don’t Shout at the telly. To top it off the programme stridently calls for cash with no strings not goats or ethical gifts for a shanty town in Ghana and marks the 10th anniversary of WORLDwrite’s Brazil exchange with digitised highlights of its very first film; Where do people fit in.
