Nov. 25, 2008 - PRLog -- Our suggestion that users do not Upgrade QuickBooks Small Business Accounting Software applies even you do not plan to upgrade for QuickBooks online banking problems or use credit card downloads. We gave prior details on this at www.prlog.org/10144450 and www.QuickBooks-Blog.com.

This relates to news we got after Intuit said current QuickBooks Small Business Accounting Software sales were below expectations. Our extensive annual QuickBooks Small Business Accounting Software pre-release tests rarely test QuickBooks online banking problems. Many banks, especially Bank of America, only upgrade QuickBooks Small Business Accounting Software after beta tests close, so we cannot pre-release test QuickBooks online banking problems. A Bank of America QuickBooks representative said yesterday she had a notice saying their QuickBooks 2009 small business online banking problem upgrade would not appear before February. However, today BofA confirmed what Intuit said late yesterday: BofA online banking for windows should be today or very soon, due to a BoA server problem. The February report related to QuickBooks Mac.

There is a possible reason for this delay: Bank of Ameruca was the largest investor in recent financing by a startup that apparently created much of its online banking suite. The suite works with and competes with QuickBooks. Some at BoA may want only their program to run. It seems unlikely, but many once correctly said that Microsoft made it so, "DOS isn't done until Lotus won't run."

Intuit has many forum problem reports, mainly at its QuickBooks online banking problem forum at www.community.intuit.com/quickbooks/post/detail/db1_IYMvSr3yp1acfARklS. Google now reports 319,000 web pages, updated in the last MONTH, have: QuickBooks online banking problems.

Many reports also show other problems, so we advise DO NOT UPGRADE QuickBooks small business accounting software YET even users will not use QuickBooks for online banking or credit card downloads. Greg Wright, QuickBooks Product Manager, has engineers working nights and weekends on QuickBooks online banking problems. He now expects Quick Add (add new names or accounts in online banking), Quick Fill (typing in drop down fields fills in names) and manual match (see register to manually match transactions) in a MID-December upgrade (changed from Late December). He is also rushing Add Multiple (review and edit multiple transactions before entry) and working to let us use forms like sales receipts and inventory for downloads.

We know what "as soon as possible" means at Intuit, after getting a QuickBooks Small Business Accounting Software program fix in five days (counting the weekend before Christmas), for one small add-ons developer. However, we now feel Intuit should notify all users of its problems.
