PRLog -- D.E. Stevenson is an associate professor in the department of computer science at Clemson University School of Computing, one of the country’s top public universities, known for its excellence in teaching, science, engineering and technology. Mr. Stevenson has been in this capacity for twenty-eight years and is depended on to provide students with instruction in several computer-related fields and to share his knowledge and expertise in computer science, systems architecture, graphics, programming, artificial intelligence, and operating systems. Concurrently, and in addition to these responsibilities at Clemson, he is the director of the Institute for Modeling and Simulation Applications and a lecturer in computer science at Fairleigh-Dickinson University. Mr. Stevenson is a student advisor for doctoral, graduate and undergraduate students and has been sponsored for research in multiple disciplines of computational science through grants from such esteemed organizations as NASA, the NSF and the United States Army. Mr. Stevenson served the latter as an infantry captain during Viet Nam, earning the Infantrymen’
s Badge, a Bronze Star and the Cross of Gallantry. He has also been the recipient of numerous awards for his teaching, such as Professor of the Year in Computer Science by the Computer Science African-American Alliance and the Computational Science and Engineering Innovation Award by the Undergraduate Computational Engineering and Science Group, Department of Energy. Mr. Stevenson has published numerous articles, journals and research papers and has presented at dozens of industry conferences and professional symposiums. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery, the Society for Computer Simulation, the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and the IEEE. He earned his Ph.D. in mathematical sciences from Clemson University, an M.S. in computer science from Rutgers University and an A.B. in mathematics from Eastern Michigan University.
