Golosaria: For Eating And Drinking Like Yesteryear

Bormioli Rocco is technical sponsor of the grand enogastronomic event, which stops off in Milan from 8th to 10th November and Turin from 22nd to 24th

Nov. 12, 2008 - PRLog -- Pasta, sauces, cheeses, charcuterie and desserts prepared by the expert hands of artisans and country folk, just like in the olden days: Golosaria, the enogastronomic event that showcases the cream of Italian food and wine, is back. Milan and Turin, which both host the event, will spotlight the Top Hundred, the selection of the country's one hundred best wines.
In the eight years since Golosaria was launched, it has attracted over 100 thousand visitors, 800 exhibitors and no less than 7 thousand specialties distributed to the crowd of gourmets and foodies. This year once again, from 8th to 10th and from 22nd to 24th November, everything is set to repeat the success of past editions.
The event, which celebrates genuine Italian food and fine wine, would not be complete without the presence of Bormioli Rocco. Synonymous with a passion for glass since 1825, as technical sponsor of the event, the group is supplying  the wine tasting glasses, personalized with the Golosaria logo and the company's brand name. Elegant and functional, Premium wine glasses will “accompany” white and red wines at all the presentations and prize-giving ceremonies scheduled.
Their shape has been developed in collaboration with the Italian Association of Sommeliers and is designed to bring out the colour and bouquet of the finest wines. The long thin stem prevents the warmth of the hand from influencing the characteristics of a fine Chianti or a spumante; the rim of the bowl is laser cut, an innovative technique used to obtain an extremely thin rim which enhances the pleasure of the contact between lips, glass and wine. Thanks to the chemical composition of the fine crystal glass, the Premium range boasts all the brilliance of crystal, excellent impact resistance and is also superbly practical.
Bormioli Rocco, master of Italian style, and exquisite food and wine, come together at Golosaria.
