Introducing Whisper Technology™ for NextDimension Pro and Pro HD Portable Workstations

This quieter model specifically targets two major niche markets: architects, users and instructors of high-end ISV applications where meetings, demonstration and collaborative utilization of the software usually occur in professional office settings; and the Broadcast Video, Film, and Audio communities where reducing audible background noise from computer equipment is essential for recording clean audio tracks.

Whisper Technology is currently available on new NextDimension Pro and Pro HD systems as well as an upgrade kit for existing systems to reduce the computer’s acoustical “footprint.” Intel-based systems enabled with this option are approximately 6 times quieter in low-load and idle conditions and nearly 50% quieter in medium-load conditions. This range provides significant noise reduction for the most common system loads.

The NextDimension Pro and Pro HD with Whisper Technology is fully functional in ambient operating temperatures up to 30°C/86°F. At 40°- 45°C/104°F - 113°F, the option is disabled by an intelligent thermal module cooling subsystem. Available configurations include up to (2) Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® or (2) Dual- or Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processors, up to 24GB RAM, multiple hot-swap removable and fixed internal SATA hard drives (up to 320GB 7200RPM), DVD+/-RW or Blu-Ray BD-R drive, support for professional graphics solutions from NVIDIA or ATI, and Microsoft Windows® XP Professional (32- or 64-bit).
