PRLog -- Chandra Pallem is a power systems engineer for EnerNex Corporation, a leading provider of professional electric power research, engineering and consulting services to government, utilities, industry and private institutions. Chandra has been in this capacity since 2006 and is depended on to provide simulation and research solutions for utilities projects. She is an expert in power system reliability studies, power system design, distributed generation, transmission systems and distribution systems and is highly regarded for her exemplary record of successfully completed projects. Prior to joining PSE, Chandra was an electrical design engineer for Design Bureau Consultants Pvt. Limited in India, where she worked on the development of one line diagrams for indoor and outdoor substations. She also designed power distribution, fire alarm systems, security and emergency power systems and worked on a research project to develop a lightning channel model that would help to explain the physical nature of lightning. Additionally, Chandra worked on a research project for the U.S. Department of Energy to determine the feasibility of electric power transmission and distribution by dc superconducting cables. Chandra holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Tennessee Technological University and is an esteemed member of the IEEE, the Scientific Research Society and Sigma Xi. At home in Knoxville, Tennessee, she is active within the community, supports the local Goodwill and enjoys spending time with her family and newborn son.
