PRLog -- Kathryn Tunheim is the founder and chief executive officer of Tunheim Partners Inc., a Minneapolis company that specializes in the provision of strategic communications. Kathy has been in this capacity since 1990 and is depended on to provide her expertise in corporate communications and communications strategy. She maintains an active role in many of the agency's client relationships and assumes an integral role in corporate governance. Kathryn has acted as communications counsel to numerous corporate boards and has served as trustee and board chair for numerous organizations. She is well known as an exemplary counselor to senior executives and has provided support to clients in their most challenging situations. Prior to cofounding the agency, she gained experience in the corporate and political sectors and was the vice president for public relations and internal communications at Honeywell, Inc. In that role, she led a global team of professionals in media relations and employee communications. Earlier in her career, she handled speechwriting for Wendell R. Anderson during his appointment as governor of the State of Minnesota and his tenure in the U.S. Senate. Kathryn attended the University of Minnesota where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and studied political science. Part of her education was financed by her work as a musician; she regularly appeared in coffeehouses and clubs throughout the Midwest and continues to enjoy music of every variety. Kathryn assumes an active philanthropic profile within the community and supports the Science Museum of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota Foundation. In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys traveling with her husband, playing the guitar, piano and drums, and singing.
