PRLog -- Judy Flanagan is the manager of sports programs for the Australian Sports Commission, the Australian government body that manages, develops and invests in sports at all levels. It works closely with a range of national sporting organizations, state and local governments, schools and community groups to ensure sporting events are operated efficiently and are accessible. Judy has been with ASC since 1987 and is depended on to manage a staff of over 200, provide athletic education and ensure the safety and welfare of all participants. She has been integral in the development of the National Athlete Career and Education Program and was the national manager for this and other important projects during the course of her career at ASC. She also led the development and implementation of the Active After School Communities Program and the Junior Sport Unit. Judy has over 20 years experience working within the sports industry as an administrator and volunteer. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree in health and physical education and a graduate certificate in athlete career and education management. Away from the ASC, Judy is active within the community and supports a variety of organizations that benefit educational outreach programs. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, training and of course, sports.
