Bormioli Rocco takes part in the Turin Taste Show

The group, present as both exhibitor and technical sponsor, supports the healthy eating culture.

Oct. 21, 2008 - PRLog -- A journey from fork to field and from field to fork: this is what the Taste Show in Turn represents, providing a starting point for learning more about food: good, clean and fair food. These three adjective sum up the Slow Food philosophy and twenty years of dedicated work by the association which promotes enogastronomic culture, sustainable development and social responsibility in farming and food supply. From 23rd to 27th October meetings, seminars and taste workshops guide gourmets and the merely curious to discover products produced with our wellbeing and that of the environment in mind, not to mention healthy eating.
Bormioli Rocco embraces these values too and is present at the Lingotto Fair centre in its dual capacity of exhibitor and technical sponsor. The stand (Pav.2 stand B124) features the top products by the company, which since 1825 has been synonymous with a passion for glass, while the sales point (Pav.1 stand A 119), run in partnership with a customer, offers refined collections of plates and glasses for the home and tableware .
In it role of technical sponsor, the Home Division is supplying the wine glasses and beer glasses used in the Taste Workshops and Theatres. Red or white, lager or ale, for each drink the company has designed glasses with just the right shape to valorize the organoleptic characteristics. Stylish design and state-of-the-art production techniques make for a unique tasting experience.
During this gastronomic journey of discovery through Italian and international specialties, visitors have the chance to encounter the quality of Bormioli Rocco products again at the Bread Workshops. Those taking part will be given a glass vase from the Quattro Stagioni range containing a cube of yeast. These glass food containers combine the benefits of traditional storage solutions with the advantages of modern vacuum preserving as they lock in the full flavour of preserves, jams and sauces. Lastly, there is a special surprise in store for children taking part in the workshops. Here's a clue: it will feature fantastic Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and the stars of the Mickey Cuties collection (Cinderella, Snow White and many more besides). The company, leader in the home and catering glassware sector, produces glasses, cups and saucers adorned with children's favourite cartoon characters, making breakfast time a whole bundle of fun.
Bormioli Rocco looks forward to seeing you at the Turin Taste Show and to exploring the world of enogastronomic delights together.
